top notch ventures to pilsen- simone's bar

in an effort to branch outside of my north side bubble and hang out with my coworkers, i ventured out into pilsen to simone's bar. the patio was packed so we had to head indoors to the eclectically decorated bar (at my next visit, and there will be a next, i hope to sit outside!).

the mojitos were refreshing, going down a bit too quickly, and the empanadas were made with interesting flavor combinations. i ordered all three: the black bean and banana with cranberry aioli, spinach artichoke with salsa and chipotle chicken with avocado. the spinach artichoke were hands down my favorite.

the crowd had a hipster feel with groups of patrons drinking pbr and jamesons (i learned this was called a pb and j) at the bar and watching old movies on the tvs.

if you are ever in the pilsen nieghborhood, or just looking for a new place to check out in a different area, simone's bar is the place for you!
