OLD TOWN POUR HOUSE.
last week before we went to Zanies (chicago's famous comedy club) we ventured over to the new restaurant on Wells, Old Town Pour House. the decor was sophisticated. the dark wood interior and off white leather details gave the large space a cozy feel. to try a variety of what the menu had to offer and maintain a budget friendly bill, we decided to order a few different appetizers, a salad and literally every dessert. the fried pickle chips and cheese curds were boss, we couldn't get enough of the baked truffle mac n cheese or the filet mignon sliders and the pour house chopped salad was de-lish. each dessert was unique and were gone within minutes, but the table fave was the Snickers pie. while the food was choice, there were also 90 beers on tap to chose from. the amount was overwhelming but the bartender was extremely knowledgeable and helpful with the selection process. after a few minutes of mulling over the drink menu, meg went with the Michigan Apple Cider while kath and em got the Tangerine Wheat. all were pleased with their final decisions.
as you can tell, we had an overall great experience trying Old Town Pour House and highly recommend it. hope you can visit soon and be sure to let us know how you like it!
Stay fly.
xo,
top notch
