top notch takes off: Scottsdale

i just got back from Scottsdale from my mother/daughter trip for spring break. the trip included lots of eating, shopping and being out in the sun any chance we got. here are my top five favorites from the trip, enjoy!

1. hiking!

2. dinner at The Green House: i had the best grilled mahi tacos and my mom's spare ribs were so tender and delish! the decor was adorable and i loved the outdoor seating area.

3. spring training game

{Angels v. Cubs}

4. shopping at Kierland Commons: while the stores are your normal mall shops (J.Crew, Anthropolgie, Splendid, etc) the outdoor shopping experience can't be found any where else! beautiful flowers, great little walkways and amazing restaurants make this mall a must visit.

5. day to trip Sedona: the scenic drive leads you into this small town that is about 2 hours North of Scottsdale. i would recommend spending most of your time eating and walking around Tlaquepaque. i found some great turquoise and onyx stacking rings at a bargain price and the small artist village reminded of my study abroad travels.
